storydriven fantasy RPG

I worked at King Art Games during the preproduction / design process of the fantasy RPG "The Dwarves".

The game is based on the bestselling novel "The Dwaves" by Marcus Heitz, so there was a lot of information from the book to be covered in the game. I was responsible for the design of the world map, as the book has a lot of locations but no map or information on where they are located. We decided to let the gameplay focus on the map a lot, which let us tell parts of the story of the book without the need of cutscenes.

I also wrote the different character descriptions based on the book characters which were then used by the concept artists to design the characters and rewrote the games story as a playable prototype in Articy Draft.
